Overview

The S424-J6 is the most versatile SAS/SATA II disk enclosure system, ideal for mid-range and high capacity storage application environments. Based on 6Gb SAS2 host interface, the S424-J6 supports a broad choice of  6Gb SAS2, 3Gb SAS, 6Gb SATA, 3Gb SATA II, and the fast becoming popular SSD disks.
 
Combining with 6Gb SAS2 RAID adatper & proper disks, it can deliver greater than 2100MB+/sec performance.

24 Disk Bay in 4U rack space provides 48TB raw capacity, and will support whatever the future new high capcity disk might be.

 

6Gb Host interface supports 6Gb SAS2 or 3Gb SAS RAID Adapters and HBAs.

 

6Gb disk interface and backplane supports 6Gb SAS2, 3Gb SAS, 6Gb SATA, 3Gb SATA II, and SSD disks.

 

A user can have the full freedom to choose whatever combination of configurations, totally depending on his/her own application requirement and budget requirement.

 

 PHY Zoning

Zoning is natively support by the 6Gb SAS2 spec.  With Zoning enabled, Two(2) RAID Adapters can share the same JBOD enclosure on different disks without

Interfering with each other

Staggering Spin Up

Built-in staggering spin-up for hard disks at power up. The feature extends the life/duty cycle of the hard disks and power supply.                    

 

 

 

SGPIO Support 

Utilizes industrial standard SGPIO for HDD LED signaling.

 

 

 

3.5" & 2.5" HDD Support 

Standard equipped  with 3.5" HDD Trays for 3.5" disks.

 

Optional 2.5"-to-3.5" mounting piece for using 2.5"

 

Scalability
